Custom Strip Setup Guide
LED Strip Instructions – WIFI SETUP
- Plug USB power cable into power brick (5V output, minimum 1 Amp*)
- Plug micro-USB plug into control box. The strip should light up
- Scan the QR code below to connect to the Wi-Fi network (access point) of the strip
- If the WLED interface does not appear automatically it can be accessed by scanning the next QR code to open the LED strip controls / Wi-Fi settings
- From the WLED screen click WIFI SETTINGS and enter your Wi-Fi SSID and Password (our strips like many smart home products only works on a 2.4 gHz Wi-Fi network) and click SAVE & CONNECT at the top or bottom of the screen
- Scan the QR code to download the WLED app on iOS or Android
- Open the app and click the + in the top right corner
- Click discover lights… and wait for devices to be discovered, after some time the app should say a device was discovered
- Press the tick in the top right and the light should now appear on your home page. The light is now saved, and you can easily access it from the app as long as the strip is in range and connected to your Wi-Fi network. Multiple strips can be added to the app
- Click on a light strip you added and you will see the colour wheel where you can change the colour of the strip
- Click the effects tab on the bottom to make the strip come to life with many amazing effects, Enjoy!
LED Strip Instructions – AP (Access Point) SETUP
- Plug USB power cable into power brick (5V output, minimum 1 Amp*)
- Plug micro-USB plug into control box. The strip should light up
- Scan the QR code to connect to the Wi-Fi network (access point) of the strip
- If the WLED interface does not appear automatically it can be accessed by scanning the next QR code to open the LED strip controls / Wi-Fi settings in a web browser
- Click TO THE CONTROLS! And you can control your LED strip. However, you will need to do the above steps every time to control the strip. For easier connection to the strip follow the WIFI SETUP
* check power brick details prior to use as incorrect power could result in damage to the strip and controller.
Please note if you are setting up multiple strips you must set them up one at a time as they can interfere with each other during setup.
